Timing is Everything: Sunrise Wedding
Choosing to exchange vows at sunrise adds an ethereal touch to your wedding day. The soft morning light, crisp mountain air, and the tranquil ambiance contribute to a magical atmosphere that is simply unparalleled. The amphitheater backdrop faces east over and looks down at on the cities in the foothills as the sun rises and you are surrounded by all the lush forest vibes all around. The symbolism of beginning your journey together as the sun rises speaks to new beginnings, fresh starts, and the promise of a beautiful life ahead.
One of the most captivating aspects of a sunrise wedding at the amphitheater is the harmony of nature. The chirping birds, rustling leaves, and the gentle breeze become a part of your ceremony, creating a symphony that enhances the emotional and spiritual significance of your vows. The natural elements seamlessly blend with the heartfelt exchange of promises, making the moment even more profound.
Planning a sunrise wedding requires thoughtful consideration of logistics. Begin by consulting with the park authorities to ensure proper permits and compliance with regulations. Inform your vendors and guests well in advance about the early start time, providing them with the opportunity to prepare for the unique experience. Consider providing cozy blankets or shawls for guests to stay warm during the cooler morning temperatures.
Don’t forget to hire a skilled photographer who can expertly capture the beauty of the sunrise and the intimate moments shared between you and your loved ones, (kahummm-I would loveee to!) The soft, natural light of the early morning will provide a unique and dreamy quality to your wedding photos, ensuring that the memories of your special day are preserved in the most enchanting way possible.
Seasons:
Winter: The road to the amphitheater is closed.
Spring: Always beautiful, chance of afternoon showers is always a risk and common in Colorado. They don’t last long and are really beautiful, especially for photos. Defiantly worth noting!
Summer: June/July is when you will see the wild flowers pop up! I love taking my couples down to my favorite spot and capturing the wild flowers and all their glory surrounded by the mountains! Always a risk with Colorado’s known afternoon showers. I sure do love how the sky gets to be a deep blue and everything around is contrasted with color thanks to the rain. Don’t ever panic if your wedding ends up having a little bit of rain. All of my best wedding galleries had some rain before it cleared up. You get the best of both worlds for epic photos!
Fall: Beautiful as always. All around a beautiful location!
