Jessica & Tom 🖤
This lovely couple and their family all got ready at Highland Haven Creekside Inn. It is literally right down the street from their mountain lake venue! It was the perfect location for getting ready on the same site but in different rooms with their family friends able to get ready at their leisure, enjoy the river and the landscapes! I have had groom and his groomsmen in the past go fishing the morning of!
Another perk is if you are traveling with your dogs this Inn is dog friendly! While everyone was getting ready their two fur babies were outside enjoying the mountain fresh air in the green grass right outside in between the lodge & river.
Jessica & Tom wanted to do their first look before they arrived at The Evergreen Lake house so they could enjoy as much time as possible with each other and their family. They had their private first look and the family came 5 minutes afterwards to cheer them on and getting excited for the ceremony to come!
This was one of my favorite wedding timelines when they wanted to get the bridal party & formal photos out of the way before the ceremony. We already got tons of candids at the getting ready location before their shuttle arrived to take them to the venue! Once, we conquered the bridal party & formal photos the bride and groom requested for me to build in time for them to take their newly wed photos afterwards and going down the boardwalk.
It really saves & optimizes on the wedding day timeline and shot list. It allows you to spend after the ceremony how you want with either a private moment, more time at cocktail our and of course time with your lovely photographer creating those dreamy romantic newly weds!
The Evergreen Lake House deck was shaded by their ceremony time at 6:15 making each direction you shot at just epic with the sun setting behind the lake house and towards the ceremony the mountains and lake were in perfect view!
Sunset at 8:15pm
After the ceremony the couple made it official and signed their marriage license while their guests got to enjoy cocktails and appetizers while mingling surrounded by the beauty of Colorado while an artist strummed on his guitar!
The couple really put their weddings timeline in my hands and what an honor it was! They got to live in the moment the ENTIRE day and spend time with their family and friends which was super important to them. Since, we absolutely rocked our timeline we had time during cocktail hour and throughout the night to sneak out and take blue hour photos!
As the sun set into blue hour the newly weds entered into their reception and started their first dance!
The reception started off after dinner listening to their friends and family share stories of them and their excitement for their love before shaking what your mama gave you on the dance floor. It truly was a celebration of love and the joining of two families. I felt right at home being apart and capturing their love story!

As an empathetic soul, I not only feel my own emotions but also pick up on those of others in the room, and I artistically portray them from the start, all the way to your final gallery, in a documentary fashion. I help all my clients feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera with action-based and emotion-provoking prompts, so you can feel and relive the moments from the day in your head.
