Mac & Eric’s Wedding Day Flow

Mac & Eric’s wedding was a dream come true at one of my favorite venues that I have had the pleasure of shooting a dozen of times and it never gets old! The stunning location not only allowed for breathtaking wedding photos, but also provided a unique experience for the couple and their guests.

The wedding took place on September 23rd, 2022, during the beautiful fall season in the Colorado mountains. Mac and Eric got ready separately at the venue, eagerly anticipating their first look and the chance to exchange their private vows. The wedding timeline was perfectly planned, allowing for moments of relaxation and reflection before the ceremony took place outdoors, under the warm sunshine and amidst the refreshing mountain air.

Since, we knocked out bridal & bridal party portraits, some family photos while my second shooter covered the groom and his groomsmen getting ready and their portraits during the pre-ceremony timeline, leaving only the full bridal party and formal family photos & newly wed photos after the ceremony. With this well thought out timeline they were able to enjoy cocktail hour, have a moment alone and get ready for their big entrance into the reception.

The reception was a blast, with a talented DJ keeping the dance floor alive. The DJ allowed the bride to take over the music for a bit, which made for one of my favorite photos and had her guests going wild and cheering her on. One thing I have to note is her reception dress was extremely special to her. It was an altered version of her moms wedding dress and I am OBSESSED. For one that loves fashion, I sure do love an outfit change and even better when there is sentimental value!

As the night came to an end, Mac and Eric bid farewell to their loved ones and embarked on their journey into the night, ready to start their honeymoon.

As a photographer, I sought to capture the timeless moments, the candid emotions, and the creative portraits that would forever preserve the memories of this special day. Being a destination photographer, I have the privilege of not only documenting weddings, but also showcasing the unique beauty of different locations. It is through my documentary-style approach that I am able to capture the genuine moments and create a narrative that will stand the test of time.

Mac and Eric’s wedding was truly an unforgettable experience, and I am grateful to have been a part of it. The stunning venue, coupled with their love and joy, made for a truly magical day.

Venue: The Barn of Evergreen

If you are planning to host an event at The Barn of Evergreen, we have a couple of recommendations for you. Firstly, consider setting up clear signage for your guests, guiding them to the location at 26624 N Turkey Creek Rd, Evergreen, CO 80439. This will ensure that everyone can easily find their way to the venue without any confusion. With that note, my GPS has always brought me right to the location without troubles. Coming from Denver there are two route options from coming up I70 W to CO 74 or I70 W to 470 then you hop on CO 74. My GPS always takes me to 470, seems to be the fastest from where I am coming from.

Additionally, we suggest providing a variety of food and beverage options that cater to different dietary preferences and restrictions. This will ensure that all your guests can enjoy the event to the fullest. Mac & Eric brought in a lovely taco truck! The guests loved it, it was quick, fast and ready to go for everyone to enjoy their meals before hitting speeches!

One of my favorite caters that I enjoy and jump up and down when I see them working a wedding with me is Mountain Time Crust. I am lactose intolerant and miss pizza but they always make me a special pizza with no cheese and I get to choose all the toppings. They have catering packages that come with beer, right from their food truck tap line. Who doesn’t love pizza with beer?! They have a seamless flow for feeding your guests with already made pizzas from their menu and the option to customize for dietary needs.

Most couples have rented the barn out from 11-11pm, reception ending at 10pm and the remaining hour is for the breakdown. Consider, having a shuttling service for your guests either to & from the venue. A lot of my couples and their guests love a good after party or have peace of mind knowing they can enjoy themselves and not have to worry about driving. This is especially helpful for your out of state guests.

All in all, if you are looking for a lovely venue that gets you beautiful views whether your ceremony is inside or outside for a small wedding, this is the one for you. Hire on an experienced photographer….like me that knows the staff and this area like the back of my hand to get you all the angles, a seamless wedding timeline so you can enjoy your big day! That is what is all about!

Thank you for being here. I hope this blog helped. If you have any additional questions or comments please let me know!
