Adventure Elopement to Dream Lake, Estes Park

My all time favorite types of elopements are when they get mixed in with adventure.

I am always looking for my next adventure elopement.

I love hiking and enjoying beautiful spots and this was one where a couple said all the magical words of what they wanted.

Intimate ceremony followed by hike to beautiful locations in the Rokcy Mountain National Park.

I knew we were meant to be at first inquiry 💙

We started at one of my favorite venues in Estes, the Romantic Riversong Inn for the exchanging of their vows before we left for the Rocky Mountain National Forest!

To hike at Dream Lake in peak season you will need to reserve a time slot. You can do that here

The parking lot to Dream Lake can get really full so prepare to find parking, we got lucky right off the bat. There are shuttles as well that help take you to the head of Dream Lake trail.

The hike is overall really easy. Pretty flat trail with some small inclines.

I have done a family session up here and they carried to small children. If they can do it, you can do it!

They had their first dance at the first pond. The audience was myself and some ducks amongst the lily pads.

We continued on taking portraits along the way to Dream Lake.

This bride was a breath of fresh air and a lot like me and it was a good reminder. Something woke back up inside me when a beetle landed on her and instead of freaking out she enjoyed the encounter. I am tomboy at heart and grew up in the Colorado world so this interaction felt like home.

Emily is a gardener and really appreciates all the little details and the circle of life.

At last we made it Dream Lake…if we continued on we would have made it to Emerald lake only a mile more out. Still waiting for the day someone makes my dreams and do the entire beautiful hike! Once, we made it to Dream Lake it sprinkled a little and scared a lot of the crowds away and we sat and enjoyed our lunch….packed with love from Romantic Riversong Inn!

We were given the okay to hop in the water by the rangers since we weren’t wearing anything that would harm the environment. No sunscreen, oils ect! One of the rare trouts came up and checked out their feet! The couple was stoked for some real Colorado wild life interactions and I love how wholesome they were about everything. That is the one of the perks of my job. Sharing my love for the outside world and adventures. This world is beautiful and I love romanticizing all the small moments.
