2025 was quite a year! I got to meet amazing people from all around the world. I had 74 portrait sessions, 31 Weddings & 7 Elopements. Out of the portrait sessions that is a mix between couples, propopals, boudoir, senior & creative portraits & branding sessions for companies! I love to mix it up. I have never been one to niche down…maybe just not yet. I really enjoy the variety.

This blog is to feature 3 of my favorite photos from each session. This is always really hard for me to pick a favorite since I am an overshooter and struggle creating

I am going to go in order from the months with my favorite images from every session. Starting with January 2025 my very first session was on top of a snow capped mountain. It was chilly with the crisp wind and snow but this couple knew they wanted the frosted look and they came prepared to freeze for a bit. They didn’t want a full hour session so we did a mini session. Here are my 3 favorites!

A few days later I was traveling up the mountain to Steamboat Springs to one of my favorite trails. I have only ever hiked it in the winter with snow shoes with my dogs so I was so excited to bring a couple out there as they celebrated their engagement and we went on a little snow adventure. You really don’t have to walk far for epic photos. The trail is right off the parking lot that leads you with a tunnel of evergreens and about 10 minutes down that is where the opening of the mountain backdrop begins. I would love to get a session here in the summer and fall-this location is just perfect year round.

Okay, its winter but we can still spice it up. I was so excited when Carolyn reached out to me. She has an AirBnB up in Breckenridge (check her out here) and wanted to do a boudoir session while they were up visiting it. COUNT ME IN.

After her session her friend decided she also wanted a boudoir session while I was there. This has never happened to me before and I was so estactic. She brought it up at the beginning when I first arrived that she may want one but was unsure if she wanted to spend the money but after an hour of doing Carolyns boudoir session she decided she had to do it was well and it was worth it! She had multiple outfits and we were able to bust through a good amount of them and still did a little friendship boudoir session and the very end. We were going to take it to the snow but naked feet in the snow didn’t last very long out the door. It was a good effort and I loved the energy to try it out!

This session was a portrait session in studio. She really liked the kaleidoscope focal lens so I got to dig those out that haven’t been used in a while for her session.

This lovely couple originally reached out to me wanting an engagement session & their wedding at this venue I have been dying to shoot at in New Mexico but they ended up finding a photograher in New Mexico to get thier wedding covered within their budget but still wanted me to do their engagement photos. Later on before their wedding the bride also had me do a boudoir session for her wedding gift to her fiance (now husband!!) But first, enjoy some of my favorite images from their snowy engagement session at the Highlands Ranch Mansion.

Kristina & Angel were getting married just a few months down the road from our engagement session in March. We moved quickly on their engagement photos and took them at Inspirational Park in Lakewood. I knew there would be some color from the trees that was in town for a winter session. I started off the session with my normal prompts to warm everyone up and they agreed to spice it up with more sexy poses and I was heavily in my boudoir mind from the recent boudoir session and I was so happy they were down to do a little more spice to their session. There chemistry was perfect for it.

First comes love and than comes…the baby announcement. Emily & Devin came to me with already the idea to do a “here is the scoop” session at Nuggets Ice Cream. It was the place of their very first date, they had ice cream at their wedding and it is something they bond over so it made perfect since to include ice cream for their baby announcement! We discussed some prompts to bring and they brought a cute little sign, their ultra sound and and a baby onsie! And we had a little ice cream date and here are my faves!

Okay…this was a bucket list item that I got to cross off that I still want more of. I am addicted and I personally want to do this one myself- I would do this in a heart beat. Well I kind of already have in Seattle but I want to do this in Denver. Here it is…a boudoir session in public. Yup- she wore a trench coat and lingerie underneath and we just adventured around the Union Station area snapping photos. This was her first boudoir session and she killed it. We started in golden hour to get into sunset to use some flash photography. LOVE- love working with different lightening types to get different looks throughout the session.

Another engagement session where I was doing their wedding later this summer. I know these two personally and one thing I know about Brittanie was she hates the cold and is the one that is always cold no matter what and we did a winter enagement session. She was nervous for the cold and that her fiance and her have never taken professional photos before. Like all nerves, they get put to the side once you are actually in session because they once again killed it. They had so much fun with their session and were so goofy and playful with each other.

Okay, this session was absolute fire that we both needed. This one is hard to just pick a few photos because we covered a lot in our session together from starting with work out attire and than mixing a little boudoir in the end. Maria is a fitness coach and because of that she was so much fun to work and inspiring because she could literally do anything I asked her too with reps and not get winded. She is a beast and I am obsessed.

That sums up my January sessions! Onto February. Top on the month we were already in the Valentines day vibes and this session was to reflect what was coming up in the next few weeks to get in the spirit for loving yourself first ALWAYS. We got two outfits in on this session and there were so many good ones it is really hard to pick and narrow it down. We covered a lot of ground with poses and getting creative with the architecture, different outfits, flowers and just working it! It was another very inspiring session that let the creative juices flow. Since I can’t chose here are my favorite horizontal and vertical images. Should I challenge myself and narrow it down? Maybe, but some battles just aren’t worth fighting?!

The Cowart’s were traveling and having a family bonding trip and I drove up to Aspen to get photos of them at the resort. We walked around and got different looks for the session with inside the hotel, walking around outside by the shots and getting the architecture and of course the snowy slopes for a more nature backdrop.

Let’s spice it up again! Boudoir sesh time! I did her surprise proposal which is one of my favorites to this date and will be hard not to obsess over for eternity because her husband planned a surprise proposal on horseback through the snow and you already know I was loving every second of it. The horse stable is no longer there in Estes Park and I am so sad because the owners were absoutely amazing to us and I told them I used to ride for Westernairs and were going to give me a more tricky horse to ride because I love that shit but had to take a breather and remember I am here for a job and need my equipment safe and not be in the rodeo mindset 😛 ANYWHO…when he booked the surprise proposal with me he also added on a boudoir session for her and OMG they turned out amazing. She planned her boudoir session perfectly where she went and did her trail for hair and makeup and did our session afterwards so she was all done up!

Next up Shelby & Nay

Moving on to March where I always go to Arizona either February and March and this year I made it in March but my plans got cut short due to one of my dogs bloating and cutting my trip short and able to one session but I was so happy during my time there I got to see an old friend! I have known Cheyenne for 5 years now from shooting her wedding, boudoir and just always keeping in touch. I am beyond grateful for our paths crossing.

April! First wedding of the season. Starting it off with an absoute bang. Ally & Sieger knew about my wedding photography from a wedding that I covered a few years ago and they trusted my work from what they have seen and heard about me. Love that! Word of mouth is so powerful in any industry and I take it very seriously & to heart.

Switching gears to the events and branding that I do. I always do a handful a year and I absolutely love it. I love my job for the versatility. This was a soft opening for Sugar & Salt in the heart of Fort Collins. This was a special day for them with the soft opening with friends and family and also the anniversary of their sister restaurant that was on the bottom level so I did pop in there and get some action shots of the environment as well for a little bonus! For the soft opening I started before any guests arrive to get photos of the decor & space before any guests arrive and as everyone started rolling in I was taking photos of food & drinks and of course candids and getting interactive with the guests. Since, I have always been in the service industry as well I get the flow of a resturant. SInce I was 17 I was always serving or bartending. Events like this always have me missing the rush of a well for the bar or running around serving tables.

Keeping the theme of branding going I had the pleasure to work with Sonvia Studios. We vibed instantly over a little bit of everything but one thing we noticed early on is we are both Virgos-so attnetion to details is a must! She was loving my more moody work and knew she wanted me to do her branding for her photos. One thing I get alot about my branding questionnaire is how in depth it is and it really gets my clients thinking. It also helps me really understand their branding and what there business is so I can bring it to life for them and get them content that they can keep using in many different ways. One thing Sonvia Studios really wanted to capture was that she is always working somewhere…coffee shops, out her car, somewhere with a beautiful back drop. We agreed upon a location that made the most sense for being versitle from three different locations. so we created that with a mountain backdrop, using her car and the brewery that was right across the street from Evergreen Lake House. Also I added a photo of the bartender that took my cactus from me when we were ordering a beer and also really enjoyed it. She made it for me and now it lives at my desk. My heart melted that she made me something and knew that i love Arizona and constantly go back so she knitted me one. So freaking sweet and thoughtful.

Upnext..you will recognize this face! She also booked me for a family session. They wanted to capture the Colorado mountains as they are living the mobile army life and were leaving the state to go to a new adventure as a family. One thing she asked me was if I was good with interracial families and skin tones. I said heck ya I am girl & shared some galleries with her and she added on a family session. She had her photos taken before and wasn’t a fan of the editing and noticed that it can be tricky for some to get the skin tones correctly. I personally obsess over skin tones so she was in good hands. We chose Chautauqua Park to capture the flatirons for an easy access backdrop that was in the area of where they were staying in Denver.

This session was another good one to light the creative juices flow. Dream Bent Studios has a special place in my heart. I have been getting tattooed by Eddie since I was 18 years old and started getting tattoed at him at Deeds of the Flesh before he created his own comapny and I got to watch him grow and create a beuatiful community and help the community as well. Eddie is one of a kind, very inspriing and is a lot like me where he always wants to learn something knew. So his talents are endless. I did a branding session for him so I got there before the shop opened to get the details of the newly remodeled shop. What was also on the the shot list was headshots and just capturing the work flow of a tattoo shop. I was there all day and it was the time of my life. I could hang out there just for fun because that is what it felt like. Clients came into get their photos taken of the tattoos they have gotten done, got photos of people current tattoos happening that day and it was all around a blast. Made a new friend too. Ended up having a lot in common and go to the same gym. You know its hard to make new friends as an adult so I felt very giddity going home saying I made a new friend & had just the best day “working.”

Kristina and Angel wedding! Remember their lovely faces from their engagement session at the beginning of the year?! Time for their wedding. They got married at Brittany Hill in Thornton.

Christine & Michael were up for a Denver engagement session. It made perfect sense for them since they met working together at a bar and he still manages a bar downtown and she continued on with a different career but the connection they created is unbreakable! We met at Union Station to get photos with the trains and grab one of my favorite espresso martini’s in town inside at the The Terminal. We tried to get photos in the restricted area because the bartenders all knew each other and we tipped them fat that they said they would look the other way to get photos at the top the floor but we learned that we couldn;t even get up the elevators without a specific key. A for effort! Afterwards we went to a bar they used to work at to get photos with the pool table. They are such a fun couple and I can’t wait for their wedding this upcoming March! Stay tuned for those epic photos!

Callie & Troy had a micro wedding at Garden of the Gods. Everyone traveled into to Colorado to celebrate their love & soak in the epic views. In my last questionnaire I send out to my couples to gage any final thought before our time together Callie requested I bring my dogs so thet could take photos with them. My dogs are regal looking and well behaved since I am also a dog trainer

The Ramsey’s wanted a 90s non traditional slightly awkward family session and use the images to gift their mom.

Nick proposed to Callie at the Garden of the Gods and I helped him plan the surprise and the best spot to do it for the a very secluded experience. We got so lucky. It was the first time in a very long time that the morning session wasn’t crawling with people. We almost had the place pretty. much to our selves and it reminded me of what it was like to live in Colorado back in the day.

Brooke & Drew’s wedding was at the Ken Caryl. Their vibe was wild flowers, lots of colors and it was an amazing time. I first met Brooke at a friends phtooshoot I did for the girls and she eventually got engaed and hired me for her wedding and engagement session and we constatnly just had a blast. Brooke loves flowers. We had her engagement session and the Denver of Botanical Gardens so the wild flower theme for the wedding matched.

Kaylee & Zach got married up at a beautfiul moutnain venue called Casa Vista. It is a great location for your family to be able to stay at the same house and hold the ceremony. Everyone was from out of state so this was the perfect option for them. I added a photo of the officiant here because I have worked with him a handful of times and he was one Love is Blind so it is only right to give him another feature!

Amy reached out to me for her office and family owner business for headshots and branding for their company. She wanted a more Suits vibe. She got reccomended to me from a guy that has been following my work for awhile and does work for them and pointed her in the right direction (me!) It worked out perfectly. I felt right at home with them. They were so welcoming, trsuted the property and even ordered me family. By the end of our session I felt like family. Everyone got their own headshot and we did group photos for their new website being built. We had so much fun. Here are my faves.

I helped Kevin plan his surprise proposal for Sam. We chose Golden Gate Canyon State Park. For all my proposals we have a few calls and game planning and systems in place to make sure we successfull capture the proposal. This was the first session I almost missed the proposal because the pin and video I sent for where would be the best place for him to propose and he ended up proposing the deck and never making it to that location where I was getting geared up to angle in but luckily I was keeping a nice distance “stalking them” with my husband and acting like tourists that I was able to catch him dropping down on one knee and not miss the moment. Sometimes I will already be in position for the proposal. It just depends on the location and my instinct and I am so glad I trusted my instinct on this one.

Sophia & Ryan had me for their engagement at the Denver Botanical Gardens in May and their wedding was later that summer! Stay tuned for my once in a lifetime photo I got from their wedding day. Here are my faves from our Denver Bontaical sesh!

Taylor & Patrick had their engagement shoot at Keystone Ski Resort. We took the gondolas up to the top and picked a little spot out of the way to get photos of the mountain back drop and not hit by the skiers! It was the ultimate blast. I loved her style with the cowgril boots and all the whole get up. I aksed her where she got her outfit and she said Boot Barn – hell ya. Some of my favorite articles and my best cowgirl boots are from there. I love shopping there. After our session we grabbed a beer.

Every year I always try and make it to the Food Truck Carnival in Northglenn. I did a mommy and me session there and it was EVERYTHING. Let me tell you. We got to ride rides and just have a blast capturing the moment. Literally the best way to do a family session because its not about the stand there and smile. It is moments, memories captured. This was her sons first carnival expereince and it was perfection. I hope to get another one this year this May.

Elaina and Nieko hired me to capture their one year anniversary. Let me tell you- epic! They brought a cake, champagne, their cute adorable puppy and they got in two out fit changes and it was all just perfect. They are now expecting their first baby and we are currently planning their maternity session-stay tuned for those images!

I got contacted to help with product photography for a broucher he needed. His company sold lightening type of products. I am not exactly sure but I got creative!

Danica & Clint got married on May 31st and traveled from Texas to get married in the heart of Denver at Skylight venue. Their theme was Rodeo Love and I was all for it. She wanted the vintage doucmenary feel and it was perfection. Their day ran smoothly, intimate and all their guests dressed for the theme and it was amazing.

We are now in June! The start of the month I started my month off in studio with one of my brides for a boudoir session. We did her engagement session already and we met at a previous wedding from the year prioir and it was just meant to be! OMG her boudoir session was everything. It was her first one ( I get a lot of first timers & I get them addicted.) It is really hard to pick a fave because we had multiple outfit changes and than eventually dropped it down to nude. Of course I wont post those here but here are some of my faves that are closer to the PG side 😛

Kirstin & Kyle have been together over a decade and were extremely open about their relationship and how it changed and morphed and were so excited to welcome another baby in their life. She chose me because of my editing and my understanding to the growth their relationship had from being addicts together and sobering up together. I found that absoutely amazing because it is beyond rare. We did a sunset session at Look Out Mountain and got to change into three outfits in our session-impressive! We worked golden hour til blue hour with some flash photography.

Tamerah and Connor were so much fun to work with for their engagement session and they have never had professional photos taken before and were super nervous (also very common for me) they absolutely KILLED it and I can’t wait for their wedding this upcoming March.

JoAnn and Ryan eloped in New York privately and than went to a family BBQ and surpirsed them there and had a little party. Since, they got no photos they watend to get in the same outfits and capture their elopement in Colorado at the Painted Mines.

Up next we have some of my repeat clients and had a little mix of a family session mixed with graduation. They always hire me up in Estes when they are in town.

Maddy & Caleb had my top tier package where they did their engagement session with me & Maddy trusted me with her boudoir session that she gifted an album to her husband the day of. They also didn’t have a limit on their coverage for their wedding day. I was there for every moment and shot over 4 thousand images that day so choosing my favorites just got harder.
