Guide To Get Married at Panorama Point, Golden Gate Canyon Park Micro Wedding

Love, laughter, and a touch of adventure marked the enchanting union of Desire and Somir, who exchanged their vows on a radiant summer afternoon, August 20th, 2022, at the breathtaking Panorama Point in Golden Gate Canyon State Park. With a reserved time slot from 12-2pm, the couple orchestrated a meticulously planned micro wedding, surrounded by the scenic beauty of nature and the warmth of close friends and family. Following the heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds embarked on a two-hour escapade, capturing precious moments against the backdrop of the park’s natural wonders. The result? A collection of intimate, candid photographs that authentically reflect the couple’s love story. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Desire and Somir rejoined their loved ones at the reception location, having woven a tapestry of cherished memories and new beginnings on this magical day.

How To Get Married At The Golden Gate Canyon Park

To enter in the park you need to purchase a $10 day pass for each vehicle. I suggest car pooling! It is worth noting that the parking fills up fast. Especially, on the weekends. It is just a dirt pull off for cars to park that the rangers do check if you have a day pass displayed in your vehicle. CHAIRS:

One question you need to ask yourself if you need chairs or not for your guests. I have had many micro weddings where they all just gathered around and stood as the ceremony took place. Renting chairs is always an option. You will just need to appoint someone the task of setting up and tearing down. If you are catering food, some caters already have chairs that you can use.

FLORALS & DECOR:

Panoramic has its natural beautiful backdrop but that doesn’t mean you can’t add your own spice to the mix by hiring a florists and brining in an arch and some decor. Most florists will deliver your floars to you and set up! Few important notes on your decor and floral is to

  • make sure it doesn’t harm the native environment.
  • make sure your pieces are portable and bring bring sandbags for any arches in case a breeze rolls through!

OFFICIANT:

In the state of Colorado you can marry yourselves! It is up to you if you want to hire an officiant to guide you through the ceremony or you can ask a dear friend or family to be your officiant!

LEAVE NO TRACE:

General world wide rules that to leave the world a better place is to make sure to

  • Pack out anything you packed in
  • Don’t use confetti (unless it is bio degradable.) bird seeds & rice.
  • Stay on the trails
  • Don’t feed the wildlife, I know they are adorable but we want them survive in the wild and no depend on humans.

GETTING READY:

Even if you live in Colorado it is always nice to rent an AirBnB to get ready at. This way you ensure that you are close to your venue, family and friends can come get ready with you, have a place to stay or meet back at after the ceremony. Golden has some amazing AirBnB’s with epic views and interior decor that just add pazazzz to your getting ready photos.

PRIVATE CHEF & CATERING:

Hiring a private chef really adds to your wedding experience. You will get a 5 star home cooked meal to chair with your friends and family and add to the atmosphere of your wedding. Picture a private candle lit dinner with your loved ones. The ultimate eating out experience.

Another option is to pick a catering company or food trucks. For catering I find it super helpful when they deliver so you don’t have to worry about tasking someone leaving the wedding to go pick up your order. Food trucks are always a great option as they come to you!
